Dora - I think Obama's most effective as a candidate when he knows he has a hard fight ahead. And those were some fightin' words last night. but I know how you feel....
One good thing, though. McCain is a really sucky public speaker.

As you may know, in Australia's last election we finally got rid of a cynical, right-wing mean-spirited duplicitous buffoon as our prime minister (sound familiar?)(AND he used to follow Dubya round like a little puppy dog - it was truly revolting). It feels not unlike waking up from a bad dream. I have my fingers and toes crossed for all of you (and all of us, really..) that the Democrats win!!It's great that you have a candidate to get really excited about!
I was a very inspiring speech.. I want to have hope, truly I do. Somehow in the back of my mind I know the republicans are cooking up another hijack.

ReplyDeleteGranny - Me too. The last eight years have been shameful and shaming. As Barak said, "We are better than this." I hope he's right.
ReplyDelete1000 shades - I did actually know that and it made me jealous, but also hopeful that it was part of a larger change in world politics.
