Yes my dears, this is a real book.



And it was written in 1885 by - I kid you not - Palmer Cox!
I think that shows some real prescience on his part!

    If you think Alice in Wonderland though, the illustrations are similar. Plus, um, gay culture only truly went underground with the Wilde trial and his subsequent incarceration.

    Ha! Love it - "Palmer Cox" is a gift! I'm going to lead the charge to substitute "Queerie" for "queer" from now on. I think it sounds more "fun"!
