Great news. Today we found out that my husband has a fracture in his foot, which is what has been causing his pain and my worry. I couldn't be more delighted (perception really is all relative, isn't it?). So my heart is as light as a helium balloon. No clots, no surgery, no heavy drugs with bad side effects. Just a fractured foot that causes him a lot of pain, hobbles him, and might take up to six months to heal. Yippeee!
(Thanks for all the candles and good thoughts.)
Excellent, excellent news!!!!!
ReplyDeleteterrific...
ReplyDeletesee, prayer does work.
I am so happy for him, and you. My sister had one of those fractures that took a while to heal. But it all worked out...
ReplyDeleteBig smile here and a sigh of relief. A great Christmas present indeed.

That is sooooo good! Whoever thought that a fractured foot could make one so happy! Glad to hear that you are as light as a helium balloon, and I hope you all have a lovely, stress-free time!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!!!!!
:)
What a great christmas present. Why on earth was it so hard for the doctors to diagnose a fracture?
ReplyDeleteYAY! Best present ever!
ReplyDeleteThanks all. I can't tell you what a relief it has been. I was preparing myself for I-don't-know-what-all-kind-of terrible things. And now I can just relax and give him grief, like I normally do. Yay!
ReplyDeletePeenee- You'd think it would be an easy thing to see, wouldn't you? The only answer I can give is that it's my husband we're talking about and he is a terrible over-achiever, so even a simple fracture takes an x-ray, followed by a bone scan, followed by blood work, followed by an MRI, to diagnose. What can I say? He's just that way....
