A Christmas present for me

Great news. Today we found out that my husband has a fracture in his foot, which is what has been causing his pain and my worry. I couldn't be more delighted (perception really is all relative, isn't it?). So my heart is as light as a helium balloon. No clots, no surgery, no heavy drugs with bad side effects. Just a fractured foot that causes him a lot of pain, hobbles him, and might take up to six months to heal. Yippeee!

(Thanks for all the candles and good thoughts.)

  1. I am so happy for him, and you. My sister had one of those fractures that took a while to heal. But it all worked out...

  6. What a great christmas present. Why on earth was it so hard for the doctors to diagnose a fracture?

  7. Thanks all. I can't tell you what a relief it has been. I was preparing myself for I-don't-know-what-all-kind-of terrible things. And now I can just relax and give him grief, like I normally do. Yay!

Peenee- You'd think it would be an easy thing to see, wouldn't you? The only answer I can give is that it's my husband we're talking about and he is a terrible over-achiever, so even a simple fracture takes an x-ray, followed by a bone scan, followed by blood work, followed by an MRI, to diagnose. What can I say? He's just that way....
