I shoulda seen it coming....

So yesterday my twins (you know, the ones who came out) said, "Mom, can you take us shopping. We need to buy some flannel shirts." Seriously guys, did one of you send them that "Now that you're a lesbian!" book?

Hmmmmmm. I wore flannel shirts all through high school and college. Then they all got too many holes and fell apart. But I was always into men and eventually married one. Now I'm kind of confused about myself.

Flannel shirts are most comfortable! And they are generally a bargain as you can get them used. I don't think Calvin Klein (that prick) has any in his fall line. No expensive labels to worry about.

Hey if the flannel shirt fits ... wear it. I love flannel grandfather shirts - use to have a closet full of them. Of course I'm a big old fag so ....

Uh ... I'm wearing a flannel shirt right now. A man's flannel shirt.

Form a line, ladies, form a line.

Good lesson not to jump to assumptions! Years ago I always thought an acquaintance, a really bright woman, must be a lesbian. She was what most people would call masculine, tall and muscular; she had cropped hair with a little tail down the back, some stubble on her arms, and she dressed in work pants, flannel shirts and men's work boots. Nope, I was guessing wrong. She shyly confided in me that she was eagerly waiting for "the right guy to come along." I always hoped she found him.
