I'm alive

It wasn't a great summer for writing and me. The kids, those ever useful excuses to not get anything done, were all home and, try as I might to ignore them, well, I couldn't entirely. And my mom is on facebook. And my novel was seeming utterly intractable. And etc. ad infinitum. So many excuses, so very boring. Even for me.

Well now school is in session and my excuses are all gone eight hours a day. I'm taking on the novel again, and I hope to be a better and more entertaining correspondent. (But not with my mom on FB. That just too weird.)

No Mom on FB is not a good thing. Back to blogspot and e-mails for you young lady! And besides you have been missed.

Glad to see the work on the novel has recommenced.

Auguri for all the projects.

You have had quite a bit going on this summer! Hope you can settle into writing and bask in the solitude or company of your characters. At least you know they won't be on facebook!

I'm glad you're still with us. And I bet your girls are saying the same thing about you being on Facebook as you're saying about your mom. ;o)

Willym - Thanks dear. I've missed you too, and plan to be remedying that!!!

Sage - How about we secretly switch the mom we're friended by. I'll shock and horrify your mom and you can shock and horrify mine!

Jason - Ha! And how selfish of them, because what's the internet for if we can't joke about our families?

YDG - Give the kid some private space so she can joke about you behind your back. It will make the jokes about you that she makes to your face much much nicer!

Kathleen - Thanks! So far the rewriting is pretty torturous, which I'm really not used to. Writing is usually pretty fun and easy for me. But maybe the misery means I'm doing something right? (Fingers crossed.)

Dr. Monkey - Thanks buddy. Your "reveal all" post was an utter crack up, by the way.

PS, Dr. Monkey - I didn't friend my kids, they friended me! I was horrified, but I didn't exactly feel like I could say no.....
