It's a great day in America, well in California anyway

I just heard the news that the California supreme court ruled same-sex marriage legal!! The NPR reporter described the scene outside the court - elderly gay and lesbian couples hugging each other and weeping at being allowed, at last, to have the marriages of their hearts recognized legally. I'm so happy that right has won out today in California.

Speaking as half of a gay male couple in San Francisco, I say thanks, sweetie. I really am thrilled. I'll send you an announcement to our shower as soon as I pick out my china pattern. Woo hoo.

Oh honey, and don't forget, an ivory dress is most flattering for the older bride....

O honey, I am way past ivory, I'm probably more bone by now.

Now off to find a wife.

Just kidding. It is a wonderful thing, also because the judges were republicans. It goes to show how unfair they thought it was.

We will still have a battle with the bible thumpers...but we are getting close..to being EQUAL.

Sage: believe me, if I lived nearer you, I'd be working double time to set you up with a nice gal! Man those Bible thumpers piss me off..... Turning ignorance and fear into hatred and condemnation (don't get me started).

Granny: ditto!

JB: Thanks (though most people who know me would definitely say that I'm bent!)

Rebecca: Yay!!!!

My very great pleasure, Magentaraves! Also, I visited your site and look forward to seeing posts of the mosaic house. I'm a mosaic artist too, but have never attempted anything on that scale.
